In this month my friends from the Entomological Society Nuernberg, Germany, family Brenner visit me in Thailand and we have some tripps in the northern and central part of the country.
Our first tripp was around the Doi Suthep mountain, but the weather was very hot and the forest still very dry.
We also visit the highest mountain in Thailand, Doi Inthanon and stay there over night in a boungalow on about 1600 meter above the seelevel.
The weather was cool and wet and at nighttime with heavy thundershower but we found some nice lasiocampidae species and at daytime some nice agamas (Acanthosaura sp.) and one bamboo viper snake (Trimeresurus sp.)
The last days, we visit Khao Yai NP in Nakhon Ratchasima province. We have nice weather with about 32 degree at daytime and also the forest was not to dry. On a river bank we see many butterfly mostly of them from the family papilionidae and for my firsttime i see a antelope like animal in the wild, the Serow (Capricornis milneedwardsii)
